Enabling Local Testing for Ansible

One of the barriers to entry for IT professionals to learn Ansible is having a set of hosts that they can learn and train on the technology. While this isn't a problem for larger organizations that have Dev/Test environments or budgets that allow them to spin up cloud resources, it can be an issue for small companies, hobbyists, or students that want to get immersed in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and the DevOps movement.

If you fall into one of these categories, what is the best way for you to get started? What if you could spin up a bunch of Docker images on your local desktop/laptop and not have to pay anything additional to start your learning process? Turns out you can...

Our very own Jason Phillips, a Principal Software Engineer with C2 Labs, has developed a tutorial and example repository on GitHub that will teach you how to quickly and easily setup a local Ansible test environment on your machine.
